Spirits at Stowe Tour

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday October 27

5:00 PM  –  5:45 PM

Using spiritualism as a lens, the Spirits at Stowe tour explores women’s rights, resistance to enslavement, religious trends, the impacts of war, and child mortality. Ultimately, this program asks how Spiritualism allowed activists to imagine a literal “other” world that was more just and equitable and how traditions such as social conventions and religious practices may hold back change or excuse injustice. We hope to inspire visitors to better understand how philosophical or religious perspectives about the world connect to social and political issues.
